• Helmsley – A charming market town offering the chance to wander and enjoy its quaint shops and rich history.
• Hutton-le-Hole – Visit the Ryedale Folk Museum, a treasure trove of Yorkshire’s history, before continuing your journey.
• North York Moors & Blakey Ridge – Experience the expansive views over Farndale and Rosedale with unspoiled heather moorland as far as the eye can see. Stop at the Lion Inn pub, dating back to 1550, one of the most remote pubs in England.
• Danby Beacon – Take in 360-degree views of the Moors and Yorkshire Coastline, a lookout first used during the Napoleonic era and later a key site during WWII for aircraft detection.
• Whitby – A must-see coastal town with rich history, including connections to Captain James Cook, Whitby Jet, and Whitby Abbey (the inspiration for Dracula).
